Amazon has added WiFi to their Kindle! Now they have the 6″ WiFi + 3G version and a WiFi only version. As such, they have taken the Kindle 2 off their shelf. So many choices, which one to choose? If I were you, I’d go for the Kindle DX. Although it doesn’t have WiFi, it wins with its huge screen. Perfect for reading magazines and newspaper!

However, if you find the DX’s price on the high side, go for the WiFi + 3G version. Yes, it may cost US$50 more than than non-3G version, but with the ability to surf FOC in more than 100 countries, it’s definitely worth it. Although the screen is black and white, using it to check emails while you’re overseas should be very good and economical. ;-)

If you want to know how to get the Kindle in Singapore, please follow the instructions here.

  1. Hey Godwin,

I’m not sure about Malaysia. Why don’t you ask Amazon if they sell Kindle to Malaysia?
