Using a wrong system or not following a proven system
In this business, to have a truly walk-away residual income, 100% duplication is absolutely essential and critical. The trouble is when people first join the MLM industry, they carry over with them their ‘experience’ and ‘expertise’ (and their ego too) from their traditional jobs and apply it to the MLM business.
BIG MISTAKE! If you’ve been in the MLM business long enough, you’ll know that the methods used in traditional jobs and businesses – regardless of its success – will not cut it.
Unless you have a proven and duplicable system and your sponsorship line doesn’t have any, FOLLOW THE SYSTEM!
At its very soul, network marketing is a business of duplication. One in which what you can do is not as important as what your downlines can duplicate. ‘Lone Ranger’ and ‘High-Ho Silver’ never make it big long term. When your sponsorship line already has a proven system; and because of your ego you’re not willing to submit and follow, guess what? Your downline will ‘duplicate’ you. And guess what? The duplication, if ever there’s one, will stop and your organisation will suffer. Period.
What’s more important in your MLM business? Your personal glory or financial security? As what MLM guru Randy Gage says, “Our number 1 job in the business is to work ourselves out of a job!” If you don’t have a system or are not following one, you just gotten yourself another job on top and above of your current dead end job.
EGO – Everybody’s Got One
Over the years in MLM, the one big common attribute I see in all successful MLMers is their ability and willingness to put away their ego and follow the system their sponsorship lines have put in place. You may be surprised at this because most successful people are strong-willed individuals. Yes. But these people also know the saying, “EGO – Everybody’s Got One – It’ll either make or break you!” They use their ego to make them. In other words, they have healthy egos.
So what gives? Unless you have a sure-fire, sure-kill 100% duplicable system or you’re the 001 in your company, for your business and financial security sake, FOLLOW THE SYSTEM!
