What in the world is a Laminin?
Do you know what’s a laminin?
Do you know what does a laminin do?
And do you know how does a laminin look like?
According to Wikipedia, it says, “…Basically, laminin is a protein found in the “extracellular matrix”, the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs also called the “basement membrane…. Laminin is vital to making sure overall body structures hold together. Improper production of laminin can cause muscles to form improperly, leading to a form of muscular dystrophy. It can also cause progeria.”
In layman term, a laminin is like a foundation of a building, a chassis of a car.
In short, laminin is like the glue that holds us together.
But more importantly, do you know how does a laminin look like this? Check this out:
A few thousand years ago, way before the word, ‘Science’ came about, the Apostle Paul said, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation; because by Him everything was created, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.” Col 1:15-17
Imagine, we all have millions of microscopic crosses holding our body together! Is that cool or what?
While it may not be "politically appropriate" nowadays to share one's true belief and philosophy, I have always endeavoured to run my life and my businesses the way I feel is right, although it is not always necessarily popular or "politically appropriate".
After reading about Laminin I have come to appreciate God more that ever before. See the planets being discovered and wonder how big our God is. Psalms 147 speaks of a God who makes and names all those stars. And then the laminin. God has hold me together, His death on the cross was enough to be a basement for my salvation. Holding us together. Surely Lord you thought of me even before the foundation of the earth was laid
And concerning Omar’s comment, sometimes believers in Christ falter and fall from the body of Christ as tissue might, It is amazing how god can heal however, as one might turn back to god because of divine influence, we have the ability to regenerate our cells as the body of Christ can, we are all like cells to the body of Christ, we serve different purposes, but are still needed

God is part of all things, as all things are part of god. and as laminin holds our body together, The promise Christ made with the cross holds together the body of Christ, and all things in the universe

Pretty cool fact that I did not know…However, I would not go as far to say that the laminin IS Jesus holding us together because if that were the case then Denise points out a very obvious and important question;”why does something go wrong..?”. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and I don’t believe that we have the capacity or understanding to pin point how Jesus (God) holds everything together, He just does and that in itself is amazing. To see all the order in the universe,wow!!! Now, as far as laminin, the “glue” that holds us together, I think its just awesome how God leaves little hints for us to find and be redirected to Him, the creator of everything. So, once we establish that the laminin is a creation not “Jesus” physically holding us together, then we can understand why something goes wrong. As with everything, when something goes wrong there are two possibilities: 1. It’s God’s will so that He can use it to glorify Himself either by supernatural healing or by having an impact on many to the point where they seek Him. 2. Our sinful nature; because by it (the sinful nature) we reject God, and sin can only be present by the absence* of God, and without God the consequences are always bad.
*By the absence of God I don’t mean that He chooses not to be present, but we reject Him, and though He is omnipresent, we make Him “actively” absence.
The design of laninins are absolutely “super natural”,and for me personally a clear indication that there is beyond doubt a super Creator – God Yahwe is alive and working for us, his creation !
He knew about the Cross and his beloved Son trillions of human years before it actually happened – that is really somewhat beyond human understanding, but we must believe in God, even in cases of humans born with a shortage of laminins and therefore sufferers of muscular dystrophy or progeria. A baby can be born with much worse than a shortage of lamininsn – please do not blame God for all that goes wrong – man, as His representative on planet Earth, is in control (or should be) of our world and body.

Denise, The body is the Temple that the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19)dwells in. if you defile it with Drugs, Alcohol, or other things, it is not pleasing to God !( 1 Cor. 3:16-17) As for others who are perhaps born with Disorders, it is a witness to the awsome power of God who is still able to work through them if we allow it. But we need to remember that the Bible says that sins of the Father/Mother will be visited upon their children for four generations(Ex. 34:7). When we come to the understanding that its not about us, and all about God, we will gain the greater Knowledge and Understanding of who God truly is and Why He does what He does.

There is brokenness is this world, a need for a Savior our Lord Jesus Christ. The laminin is missing in this world too because there is a big percentage of people in this world that have chosen to find satisfaction in themselves or materialistic things or in some other form, instead of going to the cross for healing. Jesus can heal the body without physical laminin present. Jesus is our laminin when we hurt physically, mentally, spiritually. We always need something physical in order for us to believe that it is true. With God being the maker of all creation. He left remnants everywhere for us to see, feel, hear, smell to be assured that God is our Creator our Maker of all things. His glory is show through physically disabled people. Thank you for this! If this does not prove that Gods word is truth and that Jesus did die on the cross for our sins, I dont know what does!

If laminin is “Jesus holding us together” why does something go wrong with the laminin in human bodies at times leaving people with devastating illness? Any thoughts?
